Penny Bo Benny

In the last post, I lamented the fact that our new kitty was laying around too much on her microwavable pet heating pad.

"She's getting too cozy," said I.

Turns out she had a cold. Did you know that cats can get colds just like humans?

I heard her sneezing and being the good cat mama that I am (translation: I built the new wing of the veterinary hospital.) I rushed her in for an examination.

Yep, upper respiratory woes.

After the first dosage of antibiotics was administered it was like a parched flower springing back to life; she had energy, running around the house wreaking havoc like normal.

So maybe I was wrong when I said if you get too warm and cozy you give up on life.

Sometimes you need to get warm and cozy!

Which brings me to the Christmas holiday season.

Everyone's frolicking about, eating chocolate, going to parties, drinking eggnog.

And I say this: GO FOR IT!

We work hard enough the rest of the year.

It saddens me to realize how little chocolate I eat during the year.

My step-grandkids (they're in their twenties) arrive today, and I plan on hanging out, eating, taking in a few movies, shopping, laughing and having a great time.

Life is short.

If you need to cuddle next to a microwaveable pet heating pad, you have my blessing.
