Life Is Happening

What's that John Lennon quote again?

"Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans."

So yesterday I got to take one daughter to the doctor, and today I took the other to the dentist.

You'll be proud to know that I made notes on my current book while in the dentist waiting room.

On the way home from the dentist my daughter and I discussed the new movie, A Star Is Born.

I've not seen it yet so no spoilers ahead, but I heard that it (like the Kris Kristofferson, Barbra Streisand version) ends with tragedy.

I went on to discuss all the various way I would fix the story. What kind of tone are the storytellers attempting to convey? What makes a satisfying ending? Do they want a bittersweet ending an uplifting ending or a downer ending?

My family is used to me going ad nauseam about stories. Just watch the dang movie, Mom!
