Day Nine

Day Nine and all is well.

I achieved my word count goal (yay!) I took my daughter to lunch on her lunch break, and I hit a woman's car as I pulled into a parking spot.

Yeah, I'm a true danger to society when my brain is whirring with story ideas. It's always whirring with story ideas!

I parked, got out of the car and a pleasant woman stood at the back of my car saying something. You know how you get so used to people talking only to realize that they're hooked up to their Bluetooth earpiece and are actually talking on the phone?

Well, that's what I thought she was doing so I ignored her. Then she forcefully repeated her words. "You hit my car!"

It turned out that I'd only clipped the right rear bumper of her Prius causing a minor scratch. I didn't even know I'd hit anything. That's how oblivious I was. The damage was small but I was mortified.

I gave her my name rank and serial number, and now I'll probably owe her my next born male son.

In other news, Surfer Boy made it to the Mega Whole Foods in Tustin and got me dem bones.
