Day Ninteen

My fingers flew across the keyboard today because tomorrow we leave for Florida and I plan to finish this first draft somewhere over Atlanta.

The great news?

I'm almost done.

When we arrive in Fort Lauderdale, we'll go straight to the Cuban restaurant for arroz con pollo, then prepare our annual feast including lots of fatty, starchy, yummy sugary treats.

Then ... when I return home to my desk in California the real work starts.

Revision.

But I gotta tell Y'all, you make it all worthwhile.

Why?

Well, last week I heard from Becky who had me in stitches regaling me with stories about how her insulated overalls made a certain part of her anatomy look ...  less than appealing.

Tamra took the time to send me a note just to tell me how much my newsletters meant to her because they're personal.

Michelle sent me an adorable picture of her cat, Zeus.

Jolie read Sea of Seduction and fell in love with the big wave surfing Dominick.

There are days when I barely go outside, and it seems all I do is stare at screens.

And you know what?

I wouldn't trade it for ... as they say, all the tea in China.

But please don't mess with my pumpkin pie with homemade creamy whipped topping because there might be bloodshed.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
