YOU
Over the weekend my daughter turned me on to a Netflix series called YOU.
It's a psychological thriller about a mild-mannered bookstore clerk in New York city who becomes obsessed with a woman, stalks her with the intention of making her fall in love with him.
The series is based on a bestselling book by the same name and what's fascinating about it is that it's written in the second person which you rarely see because it's so difficult to pull off.
A review:
First person: "I walked into the room."
Third person: "He walked into the room."
Second person: YOU walked into the room."
The author pulls it off with raving success, and as a writer, I'm amazed and amused at how she did it.
So here's how I spent my weekend: Sitting in front of the TV with a big bowl of popcorn binge-watching, downloading the book to my Kindle and reading.
All in the name of education of course.
Not to mention that the series is addicting!
