My writing teacher told me that every day I needed to jot down two things I heard and two things I saw.

This morning as I rode my bike, I inhaled the salty ocean air, gazed up at the wildflower-covered hillside, and saw this bumper sticker on the back of a faded green Volvo.

This proclamation won the prize for "interesting things I saw today."
