Five Feet Apart
Yesterday Surfer Boy and I went to the movies as we like to do every Sunday.
We're in a groove, not a rut, okay?
As I perused the listings for the new movies I thought, "Wow, slow movie week," and finally decided on a movie called Five Feet Apart.
I watched the trailer, read the user reviews and we picked a time.
And I'm glad we did!
The movie was SO much better than I thought it would be.
It follows the story of two teenage cystic fibrosis patients who meet in the hospital and fall in love.
Only problem?
Due to contagion issues, they must stay six feet apart and can never touch.
The protagonist decides to take something back from CF and makes up her own rule: We'll stay five feet apart instead of six.
The acting in this movie was phenomenal and I fell in love with all the characters
While the movie deals with a serious topic, and yes, it's a tear-jerker, I left the theatre satisfied with a story well told.
The moral?
Human touch is important.
