Sex Scenes
My manuscript is due to my lovely editor early next week.
So here I am on Friday afternoon, working on a few loose ends one of them being the wonderful, thrilling, intoxicating sex scenes.
Sex scenes are probably the thing I spend the most time writing.
I mean how many different ways can you say (insert male or female anatomy)?
Turns out, there are millions of ways, the writer just has to get creative.
That's where my Romance Writer Thesaurus comes in.
Yes, believe it or not, there's a thesaurus listing about a gazillion different ways to describe sex, body parts, eyes, emotions, etc.
I want you, the reader, to feel the most you can when you read one of my stories so I'm doing my best to create a deeply resonant sex scene.
Then, of course, there are the many readers who've told me, "Quite honestly, I'm looking for a good story. When authors write long sex scenes, I skim over to get back to the story."
You know what I say to that?
What else have I got to do with my life?
