California Vacation

My cousin and his family (wife and son) made it down the mountain in the snow and arrived safely in Orange County yesterday.

I need to tell you a bit about my cousin's wife.

She's a high-level executive with a Miami-based insurance company and she loves her spreadsheets.

Before they left Florida, she sent me a copy of her color-coded Excel spreadsheet.

I looked at, let out a gasp and called my cousin. "This list is going to take about three months to get through. She's got San Diego and Palm Springs on here all in one day."

"Oh."

So today was the scheduled tour of San Diego.

Around 1pm the phone rang. It was my cousin.

"Change of plans. We stayed local."

"What happened?"

"I had the worst nights sleep. Our condo has a Memory Foam mattress which conforms to the shpae of your body. Only problem is, when I roll over it's like digging myself out of a foxhole. I woke up with a sore back, sore knees."

"Where are you now?"

"Eating donuts at the Fun Zone." (about two miles from their condo.)

Tonight I'll close up shop and meet them for dinner at the BBQ joint in the Irvine Spectrum.
