Bloody Brilliant!
One of my author friends lives in Australia.
Natalie writes twisty physiological thrillers that are so much fun and keep you on the edge of your seat.
This morning as I sat on the sofa sipping heavenly coffee with Surfer Boy I told him, "Natalie's new book is bloody brilliant!" because that's my new favorite phrase.
It's a total kick to read authors from other countries because they have different ways of speaking than we do here in the good ol' U S of A.
So inspired was I by Natalie's new book that today I got a hold of her and we talked about story.
What did we discuss?
• Three act structures.
• Character arcs.
• GMC (Goal, Motivation, Conflict)
And a bunch of other nerdy writerly junk.
